Kaitlyn brought home a notice right before school ended advertising Bridgewater Youth Soccer. When I asked her if she wanted to try soccer she said no. I said okay and put down the notice. Then all of a sudden she announes, "tricked ya." She then pleaded for me to sign her up. Well that was months ago.
Today was her first day of soccer camp. Her coach is Coach Jim and she is on the black team. Upon meeting her coach she was happily surprised to get a new ball and t-shirt. Coach Jim got her team started right away with some of the rules, like we never use our hands in soccer, as well as a few fun drills. He even spent some individual time with Kaitlyn showing her how to kick the ball with the stripes on her shoes and not her toe. Her team then played a scrimmage against the light blue team. During the scrimmage Kaitlyn got hit in the stomach with the ball. Her coach told her to get a drink of water and come back. She was crying and I thought "oh no she is going to say she wants to go home." Instead she said "there is a girl who was in my kindergarten class who is on the light blue team. It's Lilly." I said "oh good. You were in gymnastics with her too. Your team needs you. Can you go back and help them win?" She took another drink and had a blast.
After we got home I took a few pictures of her in her outfit. She enjoyed showing Alyssa what to do and told Alyssa to call her coach.

I'd love to hear your feedback and comments. I'd also love and suggestions to help me perfect my skills as I develop them. Have a question? I'll try to answer it for you right away.
The only think I ask is that negativity not be posted. You know that old saying your mother probably taught you? "If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all!"
