Family Home Evening & Princess Night

This evening we were invited to dinner and family home evening at the Laws' home.  We had a great lesson by Gordon on Faith and then the boys went to the Snells while the ladies had princess night.  The Thacker girls spoiled us all by doing our hair and make-up.  After going home and putting my kids to bed I applied a mud mask and cucumbers, played some spa music on my iPhone and lit some candles.  It was so relaxing.

Family Home Evening with the Spearin Family

Tonight we were lucky enough to spend time with Bishop Spearin, his wife Brenda, and eight of their nine children.  We had fun playing in the pool.  Then Brenda gave an excellent lesson on Samuel the Lamanite.  The children created bows from popsicle sticks and dental floss and shot q-tip arrows at each other.  We ended the evening with cookies, fruit salad, and s'mores over the fire.  We look forward to getting to know them better.

S'mores Indoors

For dessert tonight we had s'mores indoors.  I got a s'more kit at BJs which came with the graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows.  At iParty I purchased long skewers and a can of sterno.  Everyone had yummy fun and clean-up was a breeze!

Noah's Ark Brownie Pops

I made the brownies with a box mix and baked them in a silicone mold. I then frosted them, added a lollipop stick and an animal head (purchased at AC Moore). This made for a great Family Home Evening Lesson for my little ones.
