Banis Family Portrait - Nana's Birthday Present

My mother (aka Nana) is one of those people you never know what to give for holidays cause they really have (or at least seem to have) it ALL.

The thing is my mother is one of the most unselfish people I know.  She has always been an amazing example of service too.  Knowing this I really wanted to get her something she'd treasure.  On Mother's Day she asked if we could do a family portrait with the whole family.  The last portriat  we had taken was at my wedding - 12 years ago.  That's right, 12 YEARS!

How is the possible with my husband as a professional photographer?  Simple, we are too stink in' busy and our schedules rarely connect.  Surprisingly it didn't take much coordination to get us together.  After all we had a really good excuse.

Here's my favorite portrait of all of us together.  I'll post more later, but right now I am just plain exhausted!

  1. Great photo. I loved having everyone there. Plus it was a great meal too. Thank you Katie and Keith.

I'd love to hear your feedback and comments. I'd also love and suggestions to help me perfect my skills as I develop them. Have a question? I'll try to answer it for you right away.

The only think I ask is that negativity not be posted. You know that old saying your mother probably taught you? "If you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all!"
